Matthew 25 Challenge for September 3, 2026: Share Your Connection

Sometimes the thing standing between a person and the help they need is not a lack of effort. It is a dead phone, no internet connection, an online form they cannot navigate, or simply not knowing where to find the right information.

Today’s Challenge: Share Your Connection

Help someone get connected when technology becomes a barrier. Lend a phone charger. Let someone make an important call. Share a hotspot for a few minutes. Help them access an online form or appointment. Or sit beside them and help find the information they need.

Sometimes the strongest kind of help is simply opening the door to connection. You might be the bridge someone needs today.

Why This Matters

So much of everyday life now requires technology. Job applications, medical appointments, housing searches, benefit forms, transportation, communication with family, directions, and community resources can all depend on a working device and an internet connection. Something that takes us five minutes may become a major obstacle for someone without reliable access.

Love can look like sharing access rather than simply pointing someone toward a solution. It can mean staying for those extra few minutes while the form loads, helping locate a phone number, lending a charger, or giving someone enough connection to make the call that matters.

Simple Ways to Take Action

Lend a charger. Help someone make an important call. Share a hotspot when it is safe and appropriate. Help with an online form or appointment. Search for needed information together. The goal is not to take over—it is to remove one barrier while respecting the other person’s choices and independence.

Scripture for Today

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:26

Service does not always require money or a grand gesture. Sometimes we serve by sharing something we already have—our time, our knowledge, our phone, our connection, or our ability to navigate a system that someone else is struggling to access.

Get Caught in the Act of Love

If you share your participation, protect the dignity and privacy of the person you help. Never record, photograph, identify, or share someone’s story without freely given consent. A photo of a charger, your phone, a Wi-Fi symbol, or your own hands helping can tell the story without making another person’s circumstances public.

ONE ACT. ONE PERSON. ONE DAY AT A TIME.

LOVE SEES. LOVE SERVES. LOVE STAYS. LOVE LOOKS LIKE THIS.
