Held by Love was not born in a boardroom.
It wasn't funded by investors.
It wasn't launched by celebrities.
It began in a hotel room.
We are Angie and Andy.
This is Our Story
Like many of the people we hope to serve one day, we know what it feels like to wonder where tomorrow will lead. We know the weight of financial uncertainty. We know what it means to carry dreams that seem far bigger than the resources in our hands.
For years, Andy lovingly cared for his daughter, Haley, whose disability required extraordinary strength, sacrifice, and devotion. Together we have experienced the heartbreak of family separation, the reality of homelessness, and seasons where simply making it through another week required faith.
Yet even in those moments...
Love kept showing up.
Not as something we possessed.
As something we could give.
Most people who experience hardship are told to focus only on surviving.
We chose something different.
We asked a simple question:
What if the very people who understand suffering could become the ones who help heal it?
That question became the Matthew 25 Challenge.
One act of kindness. One story.
One light on the map.
One reminder that compassion still exists.
Our Dream Is Bigger Than Ourselves
We believe no veteran should sleep alone.
No child should feel forgotten.
No elderly neighbor should believe no one sees them.
No family should lose hope because they have fallen on difficult days.
That is why we are building Shangri-La Pour Tous Jours—a living sanctuary where veterans, families, and animals can rediscover healing, dignity, purpose, and community.
We know this dream sounds impossible.
Many of the greatest acts of love once did.
Why We Need You
This movement was never meant to belong to just us.
It belongs to every person who has ever wished the world was kinder.
