Stock the Box — Matthew 25 Challenge | September 28–October 4, 2026

Sometimes love looks like noticing an empty space—and quietly filling it.
This week, the Held by Love Matthew 25 Challenge is STOCK THE BOX: leave one useful, unopened item in a community pantry, blessing box, or other permitted free-share space.
A single can of food, package of diapers, hygiene item, or other needed essential may feel small in your hands. But when neighbors keep showing up for neighbors, those small offerings become shelves of practical care—available without interrogation, embarrassment, or fanfare.
This Week’s Challenge
Leave one useful, unopened item in a community pantry, blessing box, or other permitted free-share space. If you are able, repeat the act during the week and invite someone else to stock a space too.
Simple Ways to Take Action
Add a shelf-stable food item. Leave unopened hygiene essentials. Add diapers or period products where they are accepted. Replace an empty spot with something useful. Check the posted rules and leave only permitted items. Before you walk away, leave the space neat and accessible.
Why Stock the Box?
Community pantries and free-share spaces work because ordinary people decide that what they have can become something another person needs. This challenge is not about being a rescuer. It is about participating in a community where giving and receiving can happen with dignity.
You may never know who takes the item you leave. You do not need to know. Love can be anonymous. Generosity can be quiet. The point is simply to help make sure something useful is there when a neighbor reaches for it.
This Week’s Scripture
“Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” — Hebrews 13:16
Sharing does not have to be dramatic to matter. Hebrews reminds us that doing good and sharing what we have are themselves meaningful acts of faith. One useful item, freely given, is enough to begin.
Give With Dignity
Please protect the privacy of everyone who uses community resources. Never wait nearby to see who takes your donation, and never identify, record, photograph, or share a recipient without their freely given consent. People deserve access to help without becoming somebody else’s content.
Get Caught in the Act of Love
If you want to share your participation, photograph the item you are giving, the blessing box or pantry itself where appropriate, or the stocked shelf—not the person receiving help. Tell us what you added and encourage someone else to STOCK THE BOX this week.
One item. One neighbor. One community choosing to share.
LOVE SEES. LOVE SERVES. LOVE STAYS. LOVE LOOKS LIKE THIS.
