Give Someone a Compliment
A sincere compliment costs nothing.
Yet it can become one of the most valuable gifts another person receives all day.
We often assume people already know they are appreciated.
That they know they're doing a good job.
That they know they're valued.
But the truth is, many people are quietly wondering if anyone notices their efforts at all.
Today's Matthew 25 Challenge is wonderfully simple:
Give someone a genuine compliment.
Notice the cashier who greets every customer with a smile.
Thank the teacher who pours into the next generation.
Tell a coworker how much you appreciate their hard work.
Compliment a parent who is doing their best.
Encourage a child who is learning something new.
Or simply tell a stranger,
"I hope you know you made my day."
The key is to make your compliment genuine.
Speak from the heart.
People can often tell the difference between empty flattery and sincere encouragement.
A heartfelt compliment does more than brighten a moment.
It reminds people they are seen.
It reminds people they matter.
Jesus constantly noticed the value in people that others overlooked.
He saw potential where others saw failure.
He offered dignity where others offered judgment.
He reminded people that they were deeply loved by God.
And He reminds us:
"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me."— Matthew 25:40
Imagine what would happen if every person reading this chose to give just one sincere compliment today.
One smile would become another.
Confidence would replace discouragement.
Hope would spread from one heart to the next.
That is how love changes the world.
Not always through extraordinary moments...
But through ordinary people choosing extraordinary kindness.
