Clear the Way — Matthew 25 Challenge | September 14–20, 2026

This Week’s Challenge: CLEAR THE WAY
Make one place easier for the next person.
Sometimes loving our neighbor isn't about finding someone who needs to be rescued.
Sometimes it's simply about noticing the world around us and asking: “Can I make this a little easier for whoever comes next?”
That is this week's Matthew 25 Challenge.
Look around for one small barrier you can remove, one shared space you can improve, or one inconvenience you can eliminate for the person who comes after you.
You may never meet them. They may never know your name. And that’s part of what makes this kind of love beautiful.
🌈 Small Actions. Real Impact.
This week, CLEAR THE WAY could look like:
🛒 Returning a shopping cart instead of leaving it in the parking lot.
🗑️ Picking up litter you didn't drop.
⚠️ Moving or reporting something that could cause someone to trip or get hurt.
♿ Clearing an obstruction from a sidewalk, ramp, doorway, or other accessibility area.
🪑 Straightening a shared community space after using it.
❤️ Leaving a place just a little better than you found it.
None of these actions are enormous. But imagine what happens when hundreds of people begin thinking this way.
We stop moving through the world asking only: “What do I need?” And begin asking: “What can I make easier for the next person?”
That is how kindness becomes culture.
❤️ Love Doesn't Always Need an Audience
One of the most powerful things about this week's challenge is that the person you help may never know you helped them.
The parent pushing a stroller may never know who cleared the walkway.
The person using a wheelchair may never know who moved the obstruction.
The employee collecting carts at the end of a long shift may never know who returned yours.
The person walking through the parking lot may never know who picked up the object they could have tripped over.
But love still happened.
Kindness does not become less meaningful because nobody applauded it. Sometimes the purest acts of love happen when there is absolutely nothing in it for us.
📖 This Week's Scripture
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.” — Matthew 25:40
Jesus continually redirected our attention toward the people around us.
This week we're practicing that awareness in an incredibly simple way: Notice what could make another person's path harder — and when you safely can, remove it.
📸 Get Caught in the Act of Love
We would love to see this challenge spreading.
If you participate, share a photo of what you did — the returned cart, the cleaned space, the cleared walkway, the bag of litter you collected, or whatever your act looked like.
Whenever another person is involved, protect their dignity and privacy. Never photograph, identify, or tell someone's personal story without their freely given permission.
Your small act might inspire someone else to notice the next opportunity. And then another person notices. And another. Until kindness starts leaving fingerprints everywhere.
🌎 Your Challenge for September 14–20
Sometime this week, stop and look around. Find one thing you can make easier for the next person.
You don't need permission to be thoughtful. You don't need recognition to be kind. And you don't have to change the whole world today.
Just clear one little piece of the way.
Because a kinder world isn't only built through extraordinary acts. It's built by ordinary people who decide to leave the path a little better for whoever comes next.
ONE ACT. ONE PERSON. ONE WEEK AT A TIME.
🌈 LOVE SEES. LOVE SERVES. LOVE STAYS. LOVE LOOKS LIKE THIS.
