How to Participate in the Matthew 25 Challenge in the US

The Matthew 25 Challenge is Held By Love’s invitation to turn compassion into practical action. Inspired by Matthew 25:40, the challenge asks people to notice real needs around them and respond with simple, meaningful acts of love.

What is the Matthew 25 Challenge?

The Matthew 25 Challenge is a community kindness and social impact initiative created by Held By Love. It encourages individuals, families, churches, businesses, ambassadors, and community groups to serve people facing hardship, homelessness, isolation, hunger, or other everyday needs.

The goal is not to complete a complicated program. The goal is to make compassion visible—one act at a time—and inspire others to do the same.

How can I participate in the Matthew 25 Challenge in the US?

You can participate from anywhere in the United States. Start by choosing one practical act of kindness or service. That might mean providing a meal, helping with laundry, listening to someone who feels alone, assisting a neighbor, supporting a person experiencing homelessness, volunteering locally, or meeting another need you can realistically help with.

You do not need to live near Held By Love or attend a specific event to take part. The challenge is designed so people can practice compassion in their own communities.

Ways to get involved

You can follow Held By Love’s daily kindness challenges, become an ambassador, volunteer with community programs, support Held By Love events, participate in local outreach, invite a business or organization to partner, or simply begin serving someone in front of you today.

Why Held By Love created the challenge

Held By Love believes kindness becomes more powerful when it moves from an idea into action. The Matthew 25 Challenge connects faith, compassion, and practical service so that ordinary people can help create measurable change in their communities.
