Matthew 25 Challenge — Leave a Kind Note Somewhere It Will Be Found — August 27, 2026

Sometimes love does not need an introduction. Sometimes it can simply be left behind for the right person to find.

A few handwritten words on a small piece of paper can become an unexpected reminder that someone matters. You may never meet the person who discovers your note. You may never see their reaction. And that is exactly what makes today’s challenge special: kindness without recognition.

Today’s Challenge: LEAVE A KIND NOTE SOMEWHERE IT WILL BE FOUND

Write one short, sincere note of encouragement and leave it in an appropriate shared place where someone you may never meet can discover it.

Your message can be simple: “You matter.” “Keep going.” “You are not alone.” “Someone is rooting for you.” “The world is better with you in it.”

Choose words that offer hope without making assumptions about the person who will find them.

Leave a Little Light Behind

You could leave an encouraging note on a community bulletin board, tuck one into a library book where permitted, place a sticky note in an appropriate shared space, leave a kind message for a coworker, neighbor, teacher, cashier, or barista, or simply choose another place where a little encouragement might brighten someone’s day.

Always respect the rules of the place you choose. The goal is not to litter, damage property, or create extra work for someone else. It is to leave kindness where kindness is welcome.

Kindness Without Credit

One of the beautiful things about anonymous encouragement is that there may be no thank-you. No photograph. No applause. You may never know who received your words.

But love does not require recognition to matter.

A stranger can still be welcomed through a moment of unexpected human connection—a reminder that somebody cared enough to leave something good behind.

“I was a stranger and you invited me in.” — Matthew 25:35

Protect Dignity

If you share your participation in today’s challenge, photograph your note or the appropriate location where you left it—not an unsuspecting person who finds or receives it. Never target, label, or identify someone as vulnerable. Let the kindness remain freely given and dignity-centered.

Get Caught in the Act of Love

Today, write the note. Leave the encouragement. Walk away without needing credit.

One note. One stranger. One unexpected moment of light.

You may never know how far love will go.

LOVE SEES. LOVE SERVES. LOVE STAYS. LOVE LOOKS LIKE THIS.

GET CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF LOVE. LIGHT UP THE MAP.
