Whitfield County Transit Service

What they provide: On-demand transportation throughout Whitfield County for errands, appointments, shopping, social-service visits, education, and other local trips. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Current county planning documents list weekday service from about 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Georgia Medicaid — Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

What they provide: Free transportation for eligible Medicaid members who have no other way to get to covered medical appointments, pharmacies, medical evaluations, or medical-equipment services. Georgia now uses Verida statewide for NEMT.

What they provide: Free resource-navigation help for people who need transportation assistance but aren’t sure which program fits their situation. 2-1-1 can help identify currently available local transportation and other basic-needs resources.
